HTML5 | Create custom dialog box like facebook

In this video we will learn to create a simple dialog box aka alert box aka message box like facebook using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript.

If you are familiar with HTML then you must have used the famous alert() function.
To display a message we generally write
alert(“Hello World”);
which generates a default alert dialog box in the browser.
And if you look close then you will notice that each alert dialog box has 3 parts in common, a HEADER, a BODY and a FOOTER.

So, we will use this 3 parts and try to create a custom dialog box. As this is a very simple example so feel free to experiment with the code.

You can download the complete project code from my GitHub repository
https://github.com/yusufshakeel/Web-App

I have added some more files in my GitHub repository which supports image and videos dialog box.

Thanks for reading and thanks for watching 🙂

Top 5 Programming Languages to Learn for 2017

Obviously I have a strong bias for the languages that I already know, but my list of top languages to learn in 2017 is this:

1. Javascript (NodeJS and ReactJS)
2. SQL (A database query language)
3. Swift (iOS) and Java/Kotlin (Android)
4. Google Golang/Go
5. PHP and Rails

To be a well rounded software developer, you should probably understand how web frontend, mobile apps, and backends work to create a great user experience. Knowing the above languages will cover most of what is important in the world today.

Android Dialog -With Text Input

ProgrammingWizards Android Alert Dialog – Text input, inputbox, editetext, custom, alertdialog

Alert Dialogs are quite important since they are non obstructive.Users can interact with alert dialog without leaving their current screen. This is good for user satisfaction and exprience. But wait..what about using them to input data.Thats alright..why not.Its what we do here. Its simple as its hosted in the MainActivity.
This is what we do here:
1. Create our project with main activity of course.
2. Create alert dialog and bind an editext to it.
3.Use the positive button for submission and Negative Button for dismissal.

Cheers Guys !!
