China: Nokia 6 makes waves on Chinese market

Nokia’s first Android smartphone, the Nokia 6, has gone on sale exclusively on the Chinese market, with representatives from HMD Global, the phone’s manufacturer, showcasing the new device from their offices in Beijing, Tuesday.

SOT, Che Xiangguang, GM, Greater China Product and Business management (English): “One third of the smartphone volumes came of China’s market. So from that standpoint, I think it’s rather obvious for everybody, and equally obvious for us, indeed we chose China as our priority focus market and we start with this new journey with Nokia.”

SOT, Che Xiangguang, GM, Greater China Product and Business management (English): “This is one piece of the whole piece of the six solvent series aluminium body, you know what; Nokia 6 is built out of this full box, so it’s a fully metal with an aluminium six solvent unit, I will say it this way.”

SOT, Angela Chen, Head of Marketing, GCR, HMD China (Mandarin): “When we released Nokia 6 on JD.com, we found there are not only the “Nokia Fans” who made the pre-orders but also the consumers who never used Nokia before. We did some marketing promotion for Nokia 6 in the community for the youth, who are being specially targeted.”

SOT, Che Xiangguang, GM, Greater China Product and Business management (English): “And also we have put the Dolby, and together with our dual speaker, this dual speaker is also very powerful in terms of the design in this price band offered to users very, very great and determined experience, together with the Dolby’s enhancement of this.”

SOT, Che Xiangguang, GM, Greater China Product and Business management (English): “The study that we have made at the beginning of the journey and also the design and the quality, we think these are the key things, plus than these are very close to the Android original experience, I think put these things together, that really makes us more attractive, or let’s say more trusted, even for the young consumer which really makes us happy and proud.”

Spain: Neymar’s purported former Audi goes on sale for €39,000

An Audi that purportedly once belonged to the Brazilian footballer Neymar went on sale for €39,000 ($41,386) in the Spanish capital, Madrid, Tuesday.

The current owner of the car, Pablo Cortina, explained that he is “selling it because I do not use it, because my free time with my work is very limited.”

He described how he came to own the Audi – finding out about it from a “close friend” in Barcelona, and “as a fan of Barcelona” was immediately interested.

SOT, Pablo Cortina, owner of car (Spanish): “I was in Uruguay – I have my wind energy company there, and a close friend of mine who lives close to F.C. Barcelona called me saying that in the Audi of Barcelona store they were selling the Audi TTS belonging to Neymar. It got my attention because I am a fan of Barcelona and I communicated with the Audi dealer and closed the transaction by telephone.”

SOT, Pablo Cortina, owner of car (Spanish): “I’m selling it because I do not use it, because my free time with my work is very limited. Having the car locked up here is a waste and it also breaks.”

SOT, Pablo Cortina, owner of car (Spanish): “I do not have the accreditation because there is confidentiality between Audi and F.C. Barcelona. The person who sold it to me told me verbally that it was Neymar’s car and out of curiosity, I searched on the Internet and there are videos in which Neymar is entering his training session and signing autographs at the entrance, and the number plate of the car is visible.”
