In previous two android tutorials we saw that how to force the orientation of android activities by using XML and java code. But in case you want to have your activity to work in any kind of screen orientation then you will need to run some code on every orientation change.
We can achieve the above by first telling the Android OS that the activity shall be handling the screen changes on its own. The second step is to add the Java code inside the activity as shown in this video tutorial.

A 12-year-old app developer | Thomas Suarez
Most 12-year-olds love playing videogames — Thomas Suarez taught himself how to create them. After developing iPhone apps like “Bustin Jeiber,” a whack-a-mole game, he is now using his skills to help other kids become developers. (Filmed at TEDxManhattanBeach.)

How I taught myself to code | Litha Soyizwapi | TEDxSoweto
In this delightfully choreographed presentation, Litha Soyizwapi tells the story of how his innate curiosity and natural chutzpah led him initially into graphic design and then, remarkably, onto a path where he taught himself to code and ultimately create one of the most successful apps in South Africa.
Litha Soyizwapi is a graphic designer and a self-taught app developer. His popular GauRider app is the quickest and most elegant way to manage commutes on Gautrain—the rapid transit railway system linking Johannesburg, Pretoria and OR Tambo International Airport in Gauteng Province, South Africa.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
