Why learn Java?

Java is a general-purpose, class-based, object-oriented computer programming language that was designed by James Gosling at Sun Microsystems in 1995.

Key Highlights of Java:
Platform Independent: This allows programmers to develop applications that can run on any operating system.

Usability of Java: Java is most widely used programming language. It is present everywhere. It really doesn’t matter which domain you are working in, you will surely come across Java sooner or later!

Open Source: The good news is that Java is available for free! All the development tools and the environment (JRE & JDK) that is used to develop Java applications are absolutely free of cost.

Android: Irrespective of the fact that you are tech savvy or not, most of us are badly bitten by the Android bug! Android is in great demand today and fortunately you need Java for Android development. Hence, the importance of Java has increased even more.

Hadoop: Hadoop is one of the most trending framework for processing Big Data. It has been designed and developed in Java.

In spite of having a tough competition on the server side from Microsoft and other companies, Java is doing extremely well on mobile platforms, thanks to Android! It has also been the primary language for Hadoop Developers.

XML DTD (Document Type Definition) Tutorial | Java/J2EE & SOA Tutorial | Edureka

Watch Sample Class recording: http://www.edureka.co/java-j2ee-soa-training?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=xmldtd

The purpose of a DTD is to define the legal building blocks of an XML document. DTD defines the document structure with a list of legal elements. A DTD can be declared inline in your XML document, or as an external reference. It also provides an application which is an independent way of sharing data. With a DTD, independent groups of people can agree to use a common DTD for interchanging data. We can use a standard DTD in our application to verify that data that you receive from the outside world is valid. We can also use a DTD to verify your own data.
This video gives a brief insight of XML DTD.

Java Tutorial For Beginners 8- Internal Details of Hello Java Program | Step by Step Tutorial

Playlist : Java Tutorial For Beginners (Step by Step tutorial)

In this video tutorial I’ll teach pretty much the whole Core Java programming language. so I hope you enjoy it.

What happens at compile time?
At compile time, java file is compiled by Java Compiler (It does not interact with OS) and converts the java code into bytecode.

Bytecode Verifier: checks the code fragments for illegal code that can violate access right to objects.
Interpreter: read bytecode stream then execute the instructions.

Introduction to Locks in Java | Using Locks in Java | Java Locks Tutorial | Edureka

Watch Sample Class recording: http://www.edureka.co/java-j2ee-soa-training?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=javaj2ee-locks

A lock is a thread synchronization mechanism like synchronized blocks except locks can be more sophisticated than Java’s synchronized blocks. Locks (and other more advanced synchronization mechanisms) are created using synchronized blocks, so it is not like we can get totally rid of the synchronized
keyword. This Video gives an overview of Locks in Java.
