The Sensei Time Reporter for Microsoft Project Online gives team members the freedom to submit timesheets and task updates from their mobile device through a native app experience on Android and iPhones.
When a project manager assigns work to individuals in Microsoft Project; the team member will see a clear and concise list of tasks directly on their mobile device, with key dates, percent work complete, remaining work and a visual indication on whether the task is running late.
Users can easily view all their tasks and sort and filter as well as track work that is overdue or new. Editing tasks is simple and updates are submitted to the project manager for approval.
For organizations that use the full timesheet in Project Online, users will see their tasks on the timesheet alongside categories for non-working time and non-project time for a complete view of everything on their plate.

Microsoft PPM – Power BI Content Pack
Microsoft just announced an updated Power BI Content Pack for Microsoft PPM, which allows organizations to get started quickly with dashboards and reports without requiring any customizations in Project Online. This content pack utilizes the latest visualizations and features available in Power BI and contains 13 pages supporting portfolio, resource, and project reporting:
Portfolio reporting – focuses on viewing key data across the entire portfolio of projects, including which projects are in the governance phases, by owner, department, project type, and key performance indicators. It also includes a portfolio timeline, roll up of costs, summary of key milestones, as well as risks and issues across the entire portfolio.
Resource reporting – focuses on understanding resource availability across the organization, including the ability to zoom in on specific departments and groups. It also allows resource managers to quickly drill down into the data to see which projects their staff is working on and what the detailed work is. Predictive analytics reporting shows forecasted demand based on historical information.
Project reporting – provides an automated project-level status report that summarizes key data on the project and highlights variances for cost, work, and the schedule. It summarizes all completed milestones and upcoming milestones, and provides links to the project schedule as well as the project site.
This content pack update will help you take your organization’s Project and Portfolio Management reporting to powerful new levels. The International Space Station – ISS – circles the earth at 240 miles above the planet, on the edge of space in low earth orbit. The station is crewed by NASA astronauts as well as Russian Cosmonauts and a mixture of Japanese, Canadian and European astronauts as well.

The ISS passes into the dark side of the earth for roughly half of each of its 90-minute orbits. As the Space Station passes into a period of night every 45 mins video is unavailable – during this time, and other breaks in transmission recorded footage is shown when back in daylight earth will recommence. Sensei Portfolio Advisor™ – Automated health checks for Microsoft PPM
The Sensei Portfolio Advisor™ provides automated governance & compliance reports to monitor data quality and ensure compliance to industry standards and best practices. A high quality Portfolio can greatly improve timely delivery, reduce cost overruns, improve scope management and resource capacity/demand management.
The ‘Checks’ are based on industry standards and best practices, including Sensei’s Proactive Scheduling™ and the Project Management Institute’s Practice Standards for WBS and Scheduling. The Sensei Portfolio Advisor™ utilizes both Compliance checks and Governance checks to ensure these guidelines are being followed. A Compliance check ensures that the tasks inside of a Project are following best practices, and a Governance check ensures that an entire Project is following best practices.
There are four categories of Compliance checks, and two categories of Governance Checks. The Compliance check categories are “WBS,” “Schedule,” “Resources,” and “Links.” The Governance check categories are “Standard” and “Advanced.” Both the Compliance and Governance checks are ranked by importance by using a severity:
A check can be ignored entirely if it is not relevant to the organization’s standards.
The ‘Compliance score’ measures the quality of the portfolio as well as a single project schedule. By default, only Problems count towards the compliance score, but Warnings and Messages can be included.
The Health page shows the overall compliance score for the projects in the selected view with supporting charts, tables, and visuals.
The Leaderboard page shows all the projects by Project Owner and Department. The Quality Awards on the page display the top three most compliant Project Managers and the top three most compliant Departments.
The Projects page shows visuals for both the Compliance and Governance checks. When either the Governance or Compliance tab is selected from the table, the supporting visuals change. When the Compliance table is being viewed, it is possible to see that project’s Compliance Score, as well as all the Problems inside of that schedule. When the Governance table is being viewed, non-compliant sections are highlighted in red.
The Governance page is only active after a project is selected from the table on the Projects page. This page displays all the data gathered by the Governance checks with clean, easy-to-read visuals.
The Compliance page is only active after a project is selected from the table on the Projects page. This page sorts the tasks in the project by Check Type, by Severity, and By Task ID. Each sorting option offers a different visualization.
On the Compliance Checks and Governance Checks pages, it is possible to see a detailed description of each check as well as set the severity level for each or choose to ignore certain checks. It is also possible to change the values for some of the checks from both pages.
The Views page displays all of Views that are active in the environment. A View is a collection of project schedules that have certain filters applied (i.e. Projects that started this year, or only projects that are in the IT Department). To create a new view and customize its’ filters, select the “Add” option from the ribbon.
