Zuckerberg ignores 100 child development experts, rolls out Messenger Kids to Android

A few weeks ago, over 100 child development experts penned a letter to Mark Zuckerberg asking him to get rid of Facebook’s Messenger Kids app, which targets children ages 6-13. The experts point to the addictive, depressive nature of social media and how that is detrimental to the development of children’s brains. Instead of removing the app, however, Zuckerberg just rolled it out to Android, potentially addicting millions more children.

If there’s one thing most people know about our kids, it’s that they love to dress up. Costume parties are a daily thing at our house. Our children have been known to go to the store or even out to eat in a costume! We have been collecting costumes for years and our best finds have come to us second-hand. Some of the costumes in this video were actually costumes I wore as a kid for Halloween–my mom (kids’ grandma) made the clown costumes. Hope you enjoy the video because the kids spent their afternoons for an entire week filming this one. Costume changes take a long time!!

Mark Zuckerberg shares cute photo of baby Maxima having her first swimming session.

A fast learner, just like dad! Mark Zuckerberg shares cute photo of baby Maxima having her first swimming session (well it helps fill the two month paternity leave)
Mark Zuckerberg and his new baby, Maxima, are getting along just swimmingly.
The Facebook founder and CEO, posted a new photo of his two month old baby girl serenely floating in what appears to be a lake as her billionaire daddy holds her lightly behind her head and looks adoringly into her eyes.
He captioned the photo ‘Max’s first swim. She loves it!’
The post has so received almost a million likes and over 21,000 comments.
Pretty little Max is wearing a green striped onesie bathing suit with a red rose on the front. Her hair seems a little longer and her features a bit more defined than in previous photos the proud dad has shared. Baby Max is growing up!
It’s unclear if this was truly Max’s first swim lesson – as many babies can be taught how to swim very young, although most experts don’t recommend it this young – or was just a little floating around safe in dad’s hands.
Since Maxima was born, Zuckerberg, who is expected back at work imminently after taking a two month paternity leave, and his wife, Dr. Priscilla Chan, haven’t been shy about sharing pictures of the little girl on – where else? – Facebook.
He has posted pictures of her getting her first vaccines, celebrating her first New Year’s Eve in her daddy’s arms, and posing with Star Wars merchandise, including a baby light saber.
There is absolutely no doubt that Zuck is besotted with his little girl – so much so that he and Priscilla vowed to give away 99 percent of their $46billion (in stock) fortune in her honor to charity.
Before her birth, the couple made a time capsule video promising to try to make the world a better place for her and all children.

Child stars have seemed to reach a certain level of immortality. In the eyes of Hollywood, they are forever the age where they became famous. But the entertainment industry can often be pretty cruel to the aging child star. As the kid grows up in front of the camera, they have to play their cards just right so they can stay relevant and continue to get work regardless of how old they are. However, what usually happens is that the child star ages out of their role as well as their demand. Then, they are stuck trying to prove to the world how grown up they are by shedding their innocent and wholesome looks. This is why we often see child stars like Miley Cyrus go to the extreme opposite of their image in order to prove a point. But then there are other child stars like Freddie Highmore who has managed to stay relevant and maintain his demand because of his look and acting talent. Yet, not every child star will maintain their looks as they grow up.
